What We Do

The Jet Reds are a new and exciting 4 piece combo specialising in their own unique brand of independent rock whilst drawing influences from the likes of Kasabian, The Jam, Oasis and other great luminaries from the alternative rock scene.

All are call centre workers by day but, away from the mundanity of the daily grind, are also best mates and musicians who love nothing more than tearing through their conveyor belt of edgy, punchy indie rock tunes in the rehearsal room and on stage.

Pamela - The Latest Single

“Pamela” is a classic indie British song with cracking catchy riffs, electrifying solos and outstanding lyrics." - Snake Oil Music

Due to COVID-19 the band have been getting their heads down to write and record music, with 4 new singles to release, the first of which is "Pamela".

Bassist Martin Bruce had the following to say about the origins of the latest single:

“The Song basically came from us warming up in the practice room. Myself and Dan were just jamming and we had the melody of the song.

Craig and myself starting writing the lyrics and the rest of the lads chipped in too. We had it pretty much bang on within an hour, minus a few tweaks here and there. It isn't really about anything in particular.

It's just one of those ones that just lands in your lap and works straight away."

What We're Looking For - The Latest Album

The Jet Reds' first album ‘What We’re Looking For’ was recorded long before this line up of the band even existed.

The album was produced by the charismatic Manchester based record producer Mike Bennett (The Specials, Ian Brown, The Fall), after a bizarre drinking session in the city that gave birth to many of the bands biggest influences such as Oasis and The Stone Roses, culminated in a chance encounter with Mike.

The album featured music luminaries such as Neville Staple (The Specials, Fun Boy 3) and Dianne Charlemagne (Moby, Goldie), however the band have since diverted quite heavily from the melodic indie-pop sound that was created on the first record and have firmly settled into a new sound with a punkier edge and high energy music about everything from love and lust to desperation and delight.
